Hey all. I've finally managed to get a copy of my website running locally on my PC. This means I can tinker to my hearts content without breaking the actual website (at least theoretically). This means (as you may have noticed) I've been doing some messing around with the design of the website.

Where Vennox has restraint, I'm afraid I'm sorely lacking. I'd like to talk about The Dark Knight. In my defence though, I'd argue that it deserves to be talked about. Whilst the film doesn't skimp on thrilling action sequences, it would be unfair to dismiss it as lacking in substance. The film deals with morality as much as muscles, and the questions it brings up - in my opinion - are genuinely intriguing.

I think the thing I found most amusing about being in Oxford was when I was playing Civilization 4 the other day (it's an excellent game, by the way). Somewhere around the time when my Roman riflemen were doing battle with Napoleon's spearmen, and I was busily converting the Judaic Coventry to the light of Buddhism, a new Wonder of the World was made available. For those not familiar with the series, these are special buildings that can only be built once. What made me think twice was this: The wonder of the world was the University of Oxford.
