I watched Haibane Renmei recently, which was good. In fact, I was expecting it to be pretty good. I found it by clicking “Top 50 anime” on anime news network and finding the first one I hadn't watched and I could get hold of. It's also a weird anime. It's about a strange town in what's possibly an alternate Japan, and a collection of teenagers and young adults with wings and halos.

I just finished watching The Cat Returns, a Studio Ghibli film. The story centres around Haru, an approximately 14 year old high school girl, who gets up late for school, trips over things, and is friendly to fluffy animals - your basic Miyazaki heroine. She's also quite whiny, especially when her best friend at school is off watching her boyfriend play table tennis, that most manly of sports.

A few days ago I finished a little mini-project. I found a wall that I really liked over at Minitokyo and decided to make a logon out of it - the first logon skin I've ever made. It's a pain to make them, but it looks nice at the end. It's taken me a couple of days to e-mail the original artist and get her permission and now I'm posting it on deviantART and WinCustomize. WinCustomize content is moderated and so it won't appear there for a few days.
