This is where I tell you a bit about myself. This is something that gets attempted in any number of ways by various people around the web, and I think it's my duty to bring my own spin to this rather overused cliché.

One of the most difficult things in writing - any kind of writing - is trying to cater to more than one readership. Everyone acts differently with different people and I'm no exception. How do I reconcile to you my various personalities - those that I show to my family, school friends, friends from church, people I know over the internet, and more.

I don't know that I can, nor will I attempt to. To understand me as a person - just like anyone else - you'll have to get to know me (o hypothetical stranger). Maybe this site as a whole will allow you to find out a bit about me - or if you already know me by one of the characters I assume, find out a little more about the entirety of me. I make no claims to being special, by the way - everyone is unique and interesting to know, just most don't write as foolishly melodramatically as I do. ;)

So welcome - enjoy your time here! My name is Martin Eden, Spikey to my friends, and Story Weaver to most of the internet. I take the first from my parents, the second from the short, spikey hair I used to have, and the third from my passion for stories. I'm currently in the second year of my degree at Imperial College London, studying Computing. As you may have guessed from the web site's title, I'm a geek. If you want to spend much time here you'll have to deal with that aspect of me. I like video games, anime, manga, programming, roleplaying, sci-fi/fantasy books, and a whole bunch of other things as well.

I'm also a committed Christian, and unafraid to talk about my faith. So if you're interested, I'm always happy to talk about that kind of thing - and if I seem to be treading on the toes of your own beliefs, just let me know and I'll try and be more careful. If you want to talk to me about anything like that, or just contact me in general, you can e-mail me here (remove the 'NOSPAM').
